The Air Liquide Foundation Supports the Afev Association

On March 16, 2022, at The Third Place* “La Dragonne” in the Patrotte district in Metz, the Air Liquide Foundation officially gave a €15,000 grant to the Association of the student foundation for the city (Afev) to support the first class of “Solidarity Apprentices” in Metz.
This endowment is the result of the Air Liquide shareholders’ generosity, who were solicited at the end of 2021 to finance 4 projects of the Foundation, including the “Solidarity Apprentices” one. The Afev project is also supported by employees from the Air Liquide France Industrie (ALFI) sites in Richemont and Hauconcourt (Moselle), who will contribute to the project with their expertise.
The cheque handover took place in the presence of the class of 2022 and the managers of the Air Liquide plants. This day continued with a visit to the two plants.
Afev's “Solidarity Apprentices” program will enable 6 girls and 5 boys to acquire the life skills necessary for their future careers. By involving them in general interest missions in the form of Civic Service volunteering for six months starting in January 2022, the Afev wants to facilitate their professional integration and to respond to companies’ difficulties in recruiting young apprentices.
The Air Liquide Foundation supports jobs-integration programs through technical professions, in particular for young people, based on the expertise and geographical locations of the Air Liquide Group. The Foundation warmly thanks the Air Liquide shareholders and employees involved in this project.
